NEW 2012 Bullets for nosler!

I'm hopeing that some of you guys in the U.S. can start wringing out these bullets soon it will take a while before we can get them up here. In the 35 Whelen it will be hard to beat the 225 Ab but the 200 gr version will be great too, would like to try them soon. I'm happy that Nosler is coming out with some new 264 and 35 cal bullets for us to try.

I kinda doubt I'll shoot any of the 200 ABs in my Whelen, but I might shoot a bunch of them in my .358 Winchester!

I cannot wait to try them out! I am going to start prepping cases for them now! That is how excited I am to try them. Both the 358 and 35 Whelen will get a shot with them. Scotty

The 338 300 gr AB is impressive if you run the numbers.
338 RUM at a MV of 2750 fps has a ME of 5037 ft lbs energy 200 yd zero
500 yds velocity 2148 with 3074 ft lbs energy + 7.75 MOA
1000 yds velocity 1632 with 1775 ft lbs energy +26.25 MOA

This one is going to be fun.

That is going to be a handful in your rifle Jim! That should be very mean though. Looking forward to hearing how they shoot though. It does raise the urge to have a big 338 though. Scotty

Im still waiting on the 6mm ABs to try in my 243. I think I heard my 338 Edge bangin around in the safe. She wants out and is hungry from some 300 gr ABs!!!!!!

Doesn't she look hungry to you? I think the Accubonds will be an awesome match. Ill feel better about actually killing something with it now.

I'm just wondering whether the ogive will suit the 358Win and its overall length of 2.8". I certainly hope so as I have x2 358s to feed. Worst case scenario they'll be missiles from my 358Norma.
Cheers...

Same here Con. I can only hope they will make it in the 358. I really think they were made for the shorter 35's since we all pleaded with Nosler to produce an AB for the short 35's. Well, hopefully its only a matter of time before we start seeing them on the shelves. Scotty

Friend of mine here in Australia has just had it confirmed (via Nosler) that the ogive for the 35cal 200gr AccuBond will not suit the 358Win, though the velocity will suit the projectile to a tee.

That is a pretty poor effort in my opinion. :( Guess I'll have to wait out and check into the Barnes 180gr TTSX.
Cheers...

That was one of my issues with the 338 Edge, no big hunting bullets to make it really shine. I couldn't bring myself to trust a target bullet. Even if it was 300 grains.
