Got a new toy on its way. I'll be picking it up next month. Ruger #1 458 Lott. Don't ask me why. Greg made me. he said it worked good on elephants. I gotta agree. I haven't heard him complain one time about elephants in his garden.

Man, you just might feel a little jolt to your shoulder, head, back and wrist when you pull the trigger but don't panic. After your shooting session there is AVIL

I knew a fellow that had one of those out in Saskatchewan. He used it for rhinos. He was so good that he killed off all the Saskatchewan rhinoceros. In any case, it doesn't look good for Tennessee elephants (or Tyrannosaurus Rex).

Congrats to the new familly member -
Sounds like an easy way to up-root some old unwanted tree stumps in the yard to me......

Patiently awaiting the first sight in session results -

I watched JDMAG punch 2 holes through the bottom of a small plastic water bottle at about 40 yards offhand with two 350 gr. TSXs at 2730 fps. I still think that show of marksmanship is what scared all the elk out of the area not to mention the rhinos and elephants. I'd hate to be an elk he came across in the timber.

I Thought you said that was 200 yards!

This may be my backup gun for Wyoming this year. I'll bring the 7MM Mag for Taylor's back up.

Congrats on the new rifle. Sounds like it should, probably, maybe work for deer. You should probably stick with premium bullets though! Hope you get it soon. Scotty

Nice. I had quite a few of those. Nice guns especially with pistol loads.

Nah...They are pussycats................... or have I shot too many 378 and 460 Bees?
