Several years ago I made a grave mistake that I still regret today- I sold my hunting revolver. It was a 8" Colt Anaconda in .44 mag. It wore a 2x Leupold. I killed several deer with it and like a lot of people on here, sold a gun I shouldnt have. Anyway through the years I have been halfway looking for another deer shooting revolver. I had looked at the Ruger super blackhawk hunter model several times. Always in .44 mag. I was in a store today and saw one and it was a .45 colt. Didnt know they made that. Went home and researched it. Guess they were made for Lipsey's. Less than 600 made. Went back and bought it. Never owned a .45 colt before, I see where I can really crank it up or shoot mild target loads. I have a scope and a set of hogue rubber finger groove grips on the way from Midway. As soon as it all comes in I will put up a picture of my new deer thumper.
Does anyone have any experience killing deer with a .45 colt?
Brian
Grips and scope came in.

I see where Buffalo Bore makes some hot stuff for this gun!
