Forgive me if this has already been posted but I am new to the forum.

I also live in CA and while I love many of Nosler's bullets I am also restricted to the non-lead offerings.

Anyway here are some I would like to see:

A heavier .338 caliber offering something in the 230-250gr. range with a high B.C.

Also would like to see a .358 caliber offering in the 200-210gr. range that would work in the .350 Remington Magnum/.35 Whelen.

Anyone one else with suggestions feel free to add to the list...:)

I think the following E-Tips would round out the line....

.264 cal 120 gr

.338 cal 225 gr

.358 cal 200 gr

.375 cal 260 gr

.458 cal 300 gr (45-70)

I second BBD's and JD's nominations. Those would be ultra useful bullets for you Ca guys, or for you all that need maximum penetration. I think the ETips are pretty sweet bullets, but since I don't need to use them, I don't. I know Dr Mike had really good performance from the 130gr ETip and his 270WSM. Handled moose with hardly a sweat. That says alot to me, as I think the 270 is about the minimum caliber for game that large. Scotty

I wonder if a 175gr 7mm would be too long to stabilize in standard twist barrel. But it sure would make a good bullet for big critters with tough hide.

I would like to see less baring service for better velocity, but I'm sure there is a reason there is not.

I think the Barnes 175's require a 1-9 or faster to stabilize. I know the 160gr Barnes X's completely penetrated a 45" Canadian Bull Moose I shot, from the butt to the front shoulder out of my 7mm Rem Mag. I was really quite impressed with them back in the day. I think I might have been one of the lucky ones who had good luck with them.

Still haven't tried the ETip's, but I almost bought a bunch of 180's to try out of my 300 Win Mag. Maybe if they come out with a 45 or 35 cal bullet, those would be pretty useful for my 45-70 and 358 Win. Scotty

I am going to try the 180gr. in my .300 Weatherby soon and some of the 100gr. in my .257.

Imho a 175gr. 7mm would be REAL tough to stabilize in a standard twist barrel.

.243 90gr or 95gr etip

Nosler has already announced the .243 cal 90 gr E-Tip. It should be out very soon.

Another small but VERY overlooked offering would be something in 180gr. range and .358 caliber that would work in the .35 Remington and a tubular magazine.

The only non lead offering out there that I know of that MAY work is the Barnes 140gr. XPB but it is designed for the .357 magnum.

I personally would like to see 105 grn 243,120 grn 257, 150 grn 303, and anything on the heavy side for all calibers. It just seems everybody trying to have the fastest bullet when it should be aiming for the best pass through of a animal, I know, i know these lighter stronger bullets do what the heavier lead and cup bullets did and better, but a heavier more ballistic efficient bullet will reach out and kill with athority just the same.I would buy any such offering if it came to be. 8)

enfield I am heavy for caliber guy myself, but in a non lead configuration most of those weights won't properly stabilize in standard barrel twist.

I see the light BigBoreDan, me smart like tractor and bright like bulldozer.I was thinking something like the barnes mrx with the tungsten rear core, plus what i want and reality seem to be two different things all the time. This is what happens when you drink beer and reply on a forum, it is like trying to add pages to the sears Christmas wish book from the Canadian tire flyier.

No worries...

I too like to drink beer and reply on forums lots of fun

As far as reality you never what you are going to see and it never hurts to ask.

Ultimately, I'd love to see E-Tip offerings in 323 and 358--perhaps a 200 grain in either, amd a 225 grain in the 358. I like the penetration of the monolithics on big game. I believe we'll see increased government pressure demanding the use of bullets w/o lead. Fortunately, the unleaded variety work quite well.
