Some interesting offerings there. None that make we want to rush out and buy a large volume, however.

Wish I had access to the 375 GMX when I had my WBY 378. Too bad no 416 Bullets

Good to see some more 8mm and 9.3 offerings though. Surprised they haven't offered a .358 caliber bullet. Hornady is usually pretty .358 friendly.

In a way, I find the 9.3 offerings unusual. Certainly don't hurt nothing however. I'm not sure I'll spend money and time with them, as my 9.3 shoots both Nolser's just fine.
There again, some useful bullets there imo.

I'll undoubtedly buy a few of these offerings and test them, but they will have to really perform to bump the bullets I'm currently using.

The bullet I want to see from Hornady is a 225 gr btsp in 35 caliber, it would be a good economical all around bullet if they make it right. They do have a big gap right now in their lineup that this would fill.

Yup, that would be a great one Gerry.

The new 6.5mm SST has a bit going for it. A claimed bc of 0.510 would give it some nice long range retained speed on medium sized game. I have always found SSTs quite accurate too.

I bet that new 6.5mm 123 gr SST will be accurate but I wonder how tough it will be, the 6.5x55 and 260 Rem could push that out at around 3000 fps pretty easy.

I bet the 6.5s would be good in my 6.5 Grendel going 2300-2400 FPS. I don't know if I will ever try them. I did not really like the SST 180 gr in my 30-06.

I believe the new 123 gr SST was actually designed with the 6.5 Grendel in mind.

I am guessing it was made for the 6.5 Grendel. If I ever use it for deer hunting, I will use a different bullet than the SST. I would use a Nosler or Barnes or an Interlock. I had an SST fail me on a nice buck. I did get him but the bullet did not perform like I wanted it to. That is why I am working on AccuBonds for my 30-06.

Was thinking of using the 180g SST in my 30-06. What did you find with it in your shooting Teach?

I found that in the 6-8 deer I shot, I had a lot of bullet separation after the bullet hit the deer. Some of the shots were shoulder shots others were behind the shoulder. To me the bullet was too fragile and came apart easy. On the last deer (180-190 lbs dressed) the bullet hit the shoulder and splashed. The deer dropped but was in shock. I was able to get one more in him behind the shoulder before he got up.

I bought a box of 300 gr, 9.3 mm solids for my 9.3x74R. You never can tell in these days and times when the immediate need for a large caliber solid may arise!

Thanks for the details. I might try some in the next wet newspaper comparison. Will be interesting to see how that bullet stacks up against the 180 BT and 180 IL.

I am guessing the BT will hold together better than the SST. It killed deer but I was not impressed the little pieces of copper in the meat when processing the deer.
