I used to hunt have a Wby. Howa with a 22” #4 Hart barrel in one of their Fibermark stocks that seemed to shoot everything well!
It loved RL-15 with any 140 grain bullet that was lead cup and core. The 160 AB it seemed to prefer H414, which is discontinued but W760 is the next best option, and considered the same.
Vihtavuori N140 worked well with the 160+ bullets, and lately I’ve been seeing a lot of VV powders.
Hopefully you can find something that works well in your 7mm/08. At one time I even necked down 308 Lapua brass, but that requires a little neck turning.
