I tested the new 30 gr BTLF lead free bullet in Nosler Custom ammunition 22-250 Remington.
At the range, I sighted in my M700 VLS at 100 yds. it took 3 shots to get a zero. The next two shots went .915". The second target went 1.468", not sure but it must have been me throwing one out as shot number 2 and 3 went .586".

I was lucky enough to get a shot at a coyote at about 80 yds. The yote ran about 30 yds and piled up..
Here is the exit wound on 30 lb Male Coyote, how I found him.

Looks like Nosler has yet another winner with the new Ballistic Tip Lead Free.

Schwing JD!! Good shooting and the bullet I'm sure is up the the Nosler name. Purty scrawny looking dog.... Was the 30gr overbore?

Send a few in .204 my way for testing out on the PD ranges...

Next week I will test them from my red mist marvel... Savage vs Rem 700.

Battle of the heavy barrels.

So how much more than the perfectly good lead variety???

This is a newly announced bullet, I do not know what the pricing is yet. It should be competitive to the lead version.
Here is the link to the announcement-

I guess I would have expected a "clover leaf" from the Custom Ammo in a 22-250?

I'll look forward to further tests across the board.............

My M700 VLS does shoot under .5 MAO but I have to load to a longer COL than SAAMI spec to get that level of accuracy.
I'm sure it will shoot better in other rifles as is.
