Just a reaction from a 50 year customer of Nosler, but where is the .257 Roberts ammo? I have been buying Nosler ammo in this caliber when I can find it but lately, it is very hard to find! That is really good ammo, don't quit on me now!

Oldtrader3,
Sorry, I didn't load it to my cart and check to see if they are in stock. How is that AccuBond ammo shooting in your 257. I have some to load up.

The Santa in the brown truck just dropped off a Shooter's pro shop gift in the front door!

Bruce, the 110 AccuBond factory ammo is fast (3060 fps) from the .257 Roberts and accuracy is okay for hunting certainly, it averages about 1.5 inches for (5) shot groups.

I just ordered (4) boxes of 110 Accubonds from Midway and will get a pound of Hybrid 100V on Saturday to see if I can match factory Nosler ballistics with handloads. I already have a pound of H-380 that may get me there as well. They are pretty close to each other in burning rate. Next week range days start for testing the .257 Roberts 110 AccuBond, 100 Ballistic Tip, 100 grain Partition bullets.

I can use the whole case for powder because my .257 Bob is a long action and the case neck is long. I am using 45.5 grains of IMR 4350 for 100 Partitions and can go up to 48.0 grains if needed because of long neck. Anybody who prefers the .308 Nato case over the 7mm Mauser case is nuts, IMHO. Just because perfection in case design is 120 years old, does not mean it is not perfection.

Out of stock, Bruce! Find some and I will buy it!

I bought some a while back and found it was loaded pretty short. Anyway, it ended up not being very accurate in my Bob. The cases are great and the 90 grain Sierra shoots sub MOA. My Bob is a No. 1 so I can also load them long and they have been more accurate when closer to the lands.

Matt,
I just sent a request through the SPS website, but I'll post my request here as well. Will you guys add in the description if the 2nds have a cannelure or not? I recently ordered some 180AB & 200AB 2nds and they all have a cannelure. The loads I have developed for these 2 bullets do not have the cannelure - they are normal Nosler 180AB and 200AB bullets. I don't know if having a cannelure will affect how they shoot from my rifle.

Thanks
Rich
