New Remington 700's?

I'd like to learn that personally. Have only handled one in the local gunshop. It sure seemed to be a well built rifle. Nice walnut stock, attractive finish on the metal. But, I haven't shot one. Seemed just like the 700's from the "good old days" of the 70's and 80's.

I'm just psyched that they got rid of the white line spacers on the BDL finally.

Also, they all now come with Timneys.

I asked em probably a month or two ago and I heard the BDL and SPS would most likely be the first ones if they did.

I do like my CDL very much. It’s a new production with their higher grade steel barrels/receivers and tighter tolerances. It’s a 700 CDL in 7mm Rem Mag with the hammer forged 26” 1:8 twist barrel. I could go on about every little thing but here is the bottom line.

It’s a very attractive rifle in my opinion, good wood/fit/blueing. I used a load that’s always shot well in every 7RM I’ve ever ran it through. 69 grains RL22, 3.290” OAL, with a 140 grain Ballistic Tip. No exaggeration at all, I verified my boresighted Leupold 4-12x40 CDS with one round. Including that shot, the first 11 rounds straight out of the box printed 1 MOA at 100 yards. They did a fine job on the one I bought.

Edit: It’s also doing quite well with Ramshot LRT and HBN coated 175gr ELD-X’s. It‘s a slow enough powder that it gives 2993 fps average with no overpressure signs and sub MOA groups. I’m 2.8 grains below any pressure signs and experimenting with seating depth. I hope to have it sorted out by this fall.

It's been years since they made the BDL's in LH so that's excellent news.

According to their website starting July 1 all their 700's will come with a Timney trigger which should make a lot of people happy.

To bad the Timney trigger isn’t adjustable.
