After all these years a rifle dream materialized for me
A Remington 700 Alaskan Wilderness Rifle in 300 RUM. All I had around were some 210 Bergers so I loaded some under Retumbo. The following is a 3 shot group which measures .375" center to center. The load was 94 gr of retumbo at 3075 fps. I stopped there and went home. I am elated.

Look at that ! Remington and all

Sweet shooting - Would like to see the results of the 210VLD's like you did the SMK's a few weeks ago

Nice shooting!!! Was that at 25yds????  Looks good, I think it is ready to hunt with.

Enviable group, Fotis. Congratulations on a sweet shooting rifle, even if it is a Remington.

SMK?s I have never shot them except in a 220 Swift.

Outstanding Fotis!!! I am not a huge fan of the push feed Remington, even though I grew up shooting a BDL in .308, but THAT is superb grouping.

Sure is a purty thing!Shoots good too.Like they say,"Life's too short to hunt with an ugly gun".Enjoy and Good Luck!

It is butt ugly and obviously doesn't shoot worth a darn!

Yep, jealous!!

Congrats Fotis!!

Thanks guys. She is going for elk for sure. Then she is getting ceracoated. Indestructible!

Will do. Do you recommend somebody?

That is a sweet rifle for a hunter! Man, it looks tough and wow, what a shooter! Can't ask for anything more than that! Scotty

Wow... That is a dream rifle!

The big ol' .300 RUM kicks a mite in a light hunting rifle too eh?

Apologies - Know your stance on the SMK's but thought it was you that launched a few 300grainers into some wet phone books a while back -

Anyway
I've never seen his work etc, but the Twisted Barrel Smith up there in Douglas or Casper states they do coatings.

Short of that Greg Tannel @ Gre-Tan Rifles does all my work and I know does these coatings.
Still somewhat close - between Meeker & Rifle CO on the western slope.
