Well I took the new 6mmBR out today to break it in. I got a total of 5 shots down range. I am on paper and the last two shots are about .2" apart. I am trying to do the Nosler break in. Shoot one and clean. It is a long process but I hope it works out. I am using Sweets 7.62 to clean. I am surprised at the amount of blue that I am getting after one shot. I must admit, I did not get the patch perfect white before shooting the next round. I ran about 4-5 patches between each shot. 5 more rounds of this then on to the next step in the process.

The 6.5 Grendel did great. I shot one cold bore then 3-3 shot groups at 100 yards.

#1-.405"
#2-.690"
#3-.441"

This is the 4th loading of my brass and I see the end maybe coming near for it. Next time around, I plan on buying 6.5 Grendel brass and not fire-form IMI 7.62 brass.

WT, if you were using a brass jag or rod your are getting false readings on the copper fowling.

Truck driver, I totally get what you are saying, but there is no way the false reading can give that much blue. It was a lot. I also used some foam and that came out blue so it was not just from the jag.

WT, what is the 6 BR load you're going to try? I would guess a 105 gr bullet with Varget, H4895, or RL 15?

I have all the parts for my 6 BR, but violin lessons for the kids have cost more this year than last year...so it's all still parts. Once I have a spare $600 to $800 dollars I'll send her off for assembly.

I am shooting 107 Sierras with Varget. I used 29.5 grains and got a stiff bolt lift on one of the rounds.
