New rifle stock for the custom 30-06 Im working on arrived today...very exciting!

I did some preliminary sanding, and had to do some inletting for my Rem 700 w/ DBM. Looking good so far, just have to wait for my action/barrel to be returned so i can put the final touches on the inletting then its off for finishing/checkering/bedding!!!

I love this stuff!

Very nice. Going to look real nice! What make? Are you going to pillar it? Scotty

Thanks for the kind comments. Its bastogne walnut, monte carlo style, with rosewood forend/grip cap with maple spacers.

The stock was made by jerry jimerson out of CA, highly recommend him if interested in a great stock for the price and a couple hours of inletting work.

Scotty, i need to find someone to pillar bed it for me when completed, you know anyone whom can do it!

That's going to make one mighty fine looking rifle!

Looking forward to seeing photos of the finished rifle.

I think if you feel comfortable with inletting a little and other work, putting pillars in is a snap. It is a really easy process. Really its a pretty easy job. A little bit of filing and drilling. Glass them in. Check out Stockys for some great instructions. If you need a link, let me know. Scotty
