Hi All,
I received my new Nosler TGR in 300 Win Mag which looks great by the way. I took the stock off as the instructions say and then put the follower and spring assembly into the Magazine Box. I screwed the stock back on and tried to feed some rounds through the action. It doesn't feed well especially on the last round. The second round works great though. Some issues that I'm experiencing are:
1) Last round comes out of the magazine box cocked sometimes and doesn't go into the chamber. By cocked I mean that when the bolt goes forward the cartridge is pointing too high and doesn't feed into the chamber at all but rather completely sideways. This doesn't happen every time but enough so that I'm concerned.
2) After the last round has been ejected, the follower and spring assembly look to be sitting too high sometimes and the bolt can't close which leads me to really thinks something is wrong here. Again, this doesn't happen every time I cycled rounds through but enough so that it's a real issue for me. When this happens, I push the follower and spring down so the bolt can close.
I really believe that I put this together correctly but obviously I wonder. Is it possible that the wrong follower and spring were put in the box as it doesn't look like it is wide enough which is creating the issues?
Thanks for your help here on this one as I really like the rifle and want to get past this.
