I acquired a Windham Weaponry SRC (scope ready carbine) a few months ago and finally got a Leupold VX-R Patrol Rifle Scope for it a few weeks ago. This morning I was finally able to get out to the range and put it on some sandbags and shoot some groups at 100 yds. I had two different factory loads on hand to try. I got some pretty good results.
55 gr FMJ Federal American Eagle
75 gr HP Blackhills Heavy Match
I think it did really well for factory stuff. I've got bullets ranging from 55 gr to 65 gr on hand to give her a try with handloads. Including some of the new 64gr Nosler Bonded. I'm afraid the only powder I could get my hands on is H335. But I understand its pretty good for .223s.
