Newbie

Those are two fine cartridges. The .280 stands out as my favourite cartridge. I've owned three rifles chambered in .280 Remington. The first, a Winchester XCR, was traded for work on our house. It was a grave mistake to let that rifle go. However, I soon replaced it with a Winchester CRF chambered in .280. That rifle has accounted for a full freezer for quite a few years now. I recently acquired another .280 in a Remington Anniversary model. It shoots better than it should. Yeah, the .280 is just cool. At the other end of cartridges, one could do far worse than to have a .375; that is a real workhorse. It should stand you in good stead for a brownie. Good luck on your hunt.

Between those two you have the whole planet covered.....but the spouse does not need to know that

Welcome. You have everything covered in those two. Got to love the .280 those things are tack drivers. I love my tang safety M77, shoots outstanding as well.

If I could only have two of the three, I would take the Harley and the 375

However, in a few months I will know how well the 280 does on sheep

Have fun in Alaska and good luck

Now that made me laugh out loud this morning.

Some things should be kept to ourselves. We wouldn't want to confuse the issue.

Welcome IH 375, this a warning from a guy that has been tricked by some of these gentleman and now I am addicted to rifle ownership
You will learn real quick that most of them know what they are talking about because of years of experience, however a few us Canucks still try to keep them grounded 8)
One of the Mottos here is so many calibers and so little time

Dan
