Weather was amazing today for Mississippi! Lower 70's this morning with a cool breeze. Extremely rare for this time of year lol. Was working with my Howa 6.5 CM today. Took the detachable magazine off, and put the factory magazine and floor plate back on. Mainly to work with the SST bullets since the factory mag has an extra
.045" clearance to seat longer. About panicked try my load with the 120 TTSX and it was shooting over an 1 inch groups, this load was shooting sub 1/2" groups before I changed mags. Well I played with the action torque and dropped it from 65 in/lbs to 60 in/lbs. and brought it right back in line. Also was trying the new hornady black factory ammo with the 140 HPBT bullet. It shot great for $19 a box ammo.

Here are the hornady black groups. Pretty impressed, and a great price for practice rounds.

Here are the groups with the 120 TTSX load I was starting to panic over. The group on the right is after I dropped the torque from 65 down to 60 in/lbs. I developed this load with the detachable mag system which was all polymer and could only be torqued to 50 in/lbs. So apparently putting the metal mag box back in and increasing the torque made it get squirrelly.

it's beautiful here , in central Pa , too . it was about 55* here this morning and it's about 70* now . I'd take these temps all year .

Oh I can't wait until it gets In the 50-60's here. Unfortunately that will be about Oct. lol

Some fine riflery, Cleveland. That is bringing everything into line. Excellent work!

this would be an almost perfect day if not for the drizzling rain since the temps are mid 60s. I don't want to stress the knee yet since I haven't seen a specialist to tell me what my limits are or should be or I would have gone anyway since the firing line is covered and would only have to dodge the rain drops while unloading and setting up a target.

Thanks DrMike! Truck Driver we are expecting some rain here tm I believe. It's very much needed. Been quite a dry spell for us.

It seems like we have had rain every 3-4 days this month which is unusual for us this time of year and the crops are looking good as is my garden. The sun just came out after a day and a 1/2 of rain and it all soaked in with no run off just a nice steady rain with some down pours but nothing really hard.
