Nice Winnie!

I looked at one just like that last year. I talked myself out of it as I had a couple of builds on the go. It would be a hammer, though.

You really need that one Fotis.

Why I have my 416 WBY! Why downgrade?

Seriously that is a nice looking 416 you have there. :!:

Thank you sir! You should see what she does to antelope!

Can you shoot a .416 Charlie, or is the recoil too brutal?

Not that you couldn't download it, of course...

No irons on a .416 RM would be a turn off for me.

99% of all .416s and .458s never get used in the field, so a lack of irons is no big deal. :p

Kurt, I have shot the .416 Rigby and the recoil is within my tolerance level. The .416 Rigby with 400 grain bullets has 56 ft lbs of recoil energy with an 11.0 pound rifle. The 9.3x74R which I have now shoots a 286 grain bullet at 2400 fps and has about 35.0 ft lbs of recoil. I have shot an unbraked .378 Wea. Mag with 75.0 pounds of recoil and that is over my limit!

If I owed a .416 Rigby, I would put a brake on it.

Truth be told, I'll probably zero mine with irons and never shoot it without a scope again.

I have a variable on mine 2 power on the low side. Works for me!

My Cousin shot a 458 for a number of years. All of you that shoot those calibres are playing with the big DOGS . I shot it a few times off the bench but was lucky to hit the target. Too much for this guy  never shot one with a break but did have a boss system on my Medallion in the 375 Hurt & Hurt it was a great rifle!!

Blessings,
Dan

You should try my 458 Lott

Or my .470 Capstick

Last year I was a the local range. A fellow there was shooting a 460 Weatherby  . I walked by leaving a trail of drool from my bench to his. He asked me if I would like to shoot it. I was ecstatic. I took a death grip on the rifle and touched one off. I shot it four times and was pleasantly surprised that my shoulder was still intact. Of course this rifle had a break on it. I told him when he was tired of it to give me a call  . Although I am not sure that I could even afford to reload for it.

Damn, man, if that thing didn't have those funny holes around the muzzle, I'd be all over it! I want an M70 Capstick in the worst way....
