Nosler 2012 New Products

Thanks for posting this, Mason. It is always comforting to see confirmation of what is rumoured.

Very nice Mason! Thanks for the link. Now get some ABs cranking for us 35 nuts! Scotty

Can you confirm that the ogive on the 35cal 200gr AccuBond will not suit the 358Win? Friend of mine received that information via email last night.

So no using it in the 358Win with 2.8" COL, or 350RemMag's built on the Rem600, 660, 673 with their short 2.7" magazine boxes, or custom guns built on Sako actions or short actioned Rem700s etc... :(

Seems like an opportunity lost.
Cheers...
Con

Good Link! However, just to pass along....please dont leave behind the old tried and true, I was at my local purveyor today and couldnt find any .25 cal 85 Grain CT. I do not see them listed on the web page. Tell me i missed the link Please. Thanks for the great products!

Don't worry cloverleaf, it is still there. It is under the Varmint section.

Con, who did your friend receive an email from?

The email was forwarded to me, it's not named.

The 'from' simply states : "Nosler Catalog" <Catalog@nosler.com>

Please tell me that its incorrect regarding the ogive ... I have x2 hungry 358Win rifles.
Cheers...

Same here Con. I really have to think the 200gr AB was made for the 358/350 RM crowd. At least, I hope so. the 225 AB is just a touch too long, so I gotta think this 200 is just right. Scotty

Thanks Mason!
While I'm pretty much a one load/bullet per gun type, and my 6.5X57 AI is set up with the 125 gr NPT,,,,,
I just might have to play around some with that 123 gr. CC some, just out of curiosity. Might just prove to backup the 6mmAI with 107 CC's

Unfortunately, it is true. The 200gr will be too long for the shorter 35's.

So ... we'll see a 185gr 35cal AccuBond soon. I so hate those smug 338Federal types with their 180gr pills. :p 35cal is where it's at.

Thank you for chasing up the ogive issue on the 200gr AB.
Cheers...

Man, that is really disappointing. Scotty

You could always lengthen the throat, and feed it as a single shot Scotty.
I know that would be an issue for some, but being a single shot guy myself, if I wanted to shoot a certain bullet, thats what I would do.
Only thing is, if once the round is loaded and decided not to fire, you would have to remove the bolt to extract the longer round most likely. I find that with the XP-100 chambered in the 6mm AI anyhow.
In this situtation, I would rather do that than give up Sectional Density. But that's just me again.

My 358 is a Browning BLR. The mag is the most restrictive part of it really. Scotty

Wow, don't I feel under-appreciated. Maybe Speer will provide the Deep Curl in .358 @ 225gr. All I want is a 225gr protected point bullet to feed my 358W. How about a 225gr BT? Oh wait, they pulled that model.

I guess it's time to stoke up some Grand Slams and Interlocks of the 250gr variety and see how they fly.

Mason,

I hope marketing folks revisits this with the engineering group and comes out with a 358 cal 200 gr Protected Point version. This would work for the shorter 35 cal rounds and drive sales.
