Nosler 2012 New Products

Well, I have four boxes on order. I'll likely halve that, though. I can still test these bullets in the 35 Whelen, but the 225 grain Partition will work just fine in that cartridge.

those 225 BT were explosive and and also a very long bullet. If memory serves me they were longer than a 250 Part.

DrMike if you end up with an extra box or two of the 200 Ab that you don't want maybe we could work out some kind of trade.

Gerry,

When they arrive, I'm certain we can work something out. I have a few cases and bullets lying around.

Mason,
When can we expect some reloading data for the 200 gr AccuBond in the 35 Whelen? Was thinking powders like TAC, AA 2015 and H 4895 might be great for it.

I am thinking it should scoot right along over a full load of RL15, same as the 225's and 250's. I know that is where I am going to look first off. It has been too good with RL15 to not try. That should be a cool bullet for the 35 Whelen, just kinda bummed it MAY not work with the 358. Scotty

Scotty,

I think a full case of RL 15 should push the 200 gr AB over 2800 fps. That would be an impressive load!
Again, what we really need is a 200 gr AB Protected Point (flat nose) so that this bullet can be used and appreciated by al the short 35 cal cartridges. The When users can still get 2800+ fps for a mid range deer hammer.

I agree Jim. The PP 200gr'er would be very welcomed. I am looking forward to messing with the 200gr AB some. I am going to try it in the 258 and see what can be done. Maybe with a light crimp it'll work. As long as I am below the ogive, I should be able to make it happen. Hard tellin just yet. Scotty

I think RL15 will be good, but I'm interested in what TAC will do. Could be great, might be a little fast.

TAC might be excellent for the Whelen. It's similar in burn rate and seems to be a great powder in the 358 as well. I have wanted to try it, just never gotten around it. Scotty

Pretty sure I tried RL 15 and H 322 with the 200 gr Hornady Spire point in the past. A slightly faster burning powder than Varget or RL 15 might give good speed and have better load density not being so compressed. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what kind of data Nosler comes up with.
