Thinking about one for next Fall, anyone have some favorite loads?

“Favorite loads” is just a scary term to me. My rifle is different than yours and should be treated as such.
But in the spirit of your post-I love my 28. It shoots factory 175 ablr ammo extremely well and I have equaled that by using us869 powder and reusing the fired nosler brass, fed 215m primers. You can find your own seating depth. Good luck!

I also just got a 28 nosler about a month ago. I haven’t started load development yet, but we will see where it takes us. Mine is a BrowningX Bolt.

Christensen Mesa 28 nosler, 80 grains retumbo 175 grain Berger elite , 10,000 this jump 1-9 twist 3120 fps , target was at 100 yards.

3150 fps-I don’t remember but I believe that was a 10 shot average. Good enough for an antelope this year as well but mine was trying to gore the truck so much
more like self defense than long range
I stepped away from eld-x as I felt like they were too frangible and have been much happier with the slightly heavier and bonded ablr bullets. My groups not quite as good as yours.
I am possibly going to rebuild my 7stw to a 28 nosler as well. I’m intrigued by the 30 nosler as well so will see where the money and options take me this year-

that seems very mild for that bullet in a 28n?

i plan on getting a mrad and do a 4 nosler cartridge builds. 1 mrad with 4 barrels

might swap the 26 for a 33? before i do so i'll have to buy some mags to find out what max cartridge lengths could be. what i want too do is buy maybe 4 mrad's and set them up for this way.

4 short mags
6.5prc, 6.8w, 7saum, 300wsm

4 belted cartridges
264wm, 7rm, 300wm, 338wm

4 or 3
300nm, 338nm, 338lm, and haven't decided on or if there'll be a 4th

the short mags will have a 24" barrel, 26" for the belted cartridges, 28" for the nosler's & 30" for the nm/lm's. i might step up and add 2' to each (26, 28, 30, 32). since barrett has a mrad-elr (36" 416b and 375enabler) it could be on a purchase list for me? each of the cartridges listed will have their own load with bullet weight just for it and twist. i might use the berger 195eol and 197smk in the 28n so a 7.5t it could be?

Got that & Retumbo as well. Think the new Ramshot Grand might be worth a try as well.
