I'm stocking up on different bullets to try @ 1000 yards in my 30-378 once the weather is more friendly. (It's close to zero here today in W. PA)
I've got Hornady 30 cal in 168 & 225 eld match
And I grabbed these wicked looking things..
Hornady 176 gr Atip match.
😲😲😲

Now it's Nosler turn.
Any tips advice feedback on the Nosler custom competition bullets that applies to my platform

I will be getting Berger, and Hammer bullets to round out my experiments

There are a number of 30cal Custom Comp bullets available, all the way up top 220gr. Looks like mixed availability for now, but 190gr is available in 100ct. May want to take a peek at Lapua too. Scenar in both 185 and 220gr.

I didn't see anything on twist rates with the nosler Custom competition bullets.

That's good unless it's an oversight on my part which might be.

Hornady makes those Atips in 230 and 250 but my twist is too fast for them

1:10 should still stabilize 220gr. This is of course dependent on velocity, but you will not be lacking with 30- 378.
The twist in my 300 RUM is 1:10 and 220gr is doable. If you have a faster twist than this (1:9 or 1:8), heavier should be fine.

i shot 225 eld's with no issue as of yet..

Here is four promising shots at 1000 with factory Weatherby 165 gr Ballistic tips just trying to get some brass.

I had two high and right...
My son was in the pit and radioed back my adjustment needed.

Shot two more...

Snow squall came and couldn't see 100 feet, then dark.

I had that twisted up...
Those 230 Atip and 250 atip my twist is too slow... @ 1:10

I will take a look at the 190 custom competition and try those.
Trying to cover as many weights and then go from there.
So far..I've accumulated
168
176
180
225

To get list is...
190
195
208
220? Probably

we haven't shot long range for a couple years . before we stopped shooting , my buddies all switched to the A- tips .they were adding less elevation than I was , so these appear to shoot flatter . . I have a pile of Berger bullets , and I've bought a couple hundred Nosler custom competitions , and I think I was able to get a couple hundred Nosler RDF bullets to test with .I'll probably buy a hundred A-tips too . I'll need to test the A-tips , CC , and the RDF bullets to see if they would work for a hunting bullet . the Berger EH bullets do work for long range hunting .

we all shoot .338's
