Nosler 48 stock problem

I saw a guy at the range the other day shooting a model 48 in 300WSM. It shot good but I noticed the bolt hits the top of the stock when the bolt is fully retracted. This flaw will damage that wood stock in due time. How could the nosler boys let this one get by them ? I just wonder if all nosler 48,s exibit this defect.

Hmm, that does sound strange. I'm not sure which gun you're talking about though, our Model 48's come with synthetic stocks and our NoslerCustom Rifles have a wood stock.

In any case, the bolt shouldn't be doing that. We check each rifle we send out for specifically that problem. Frequently, if the action is removed from the stock and then replaced too tightly, it can crush the bedding and cause that.

If anybody does encounter that problem, we're happy to take a look at the rifle and correct any issue. The number to call is 1-800-285-3701 ext 1046.

Thanks Nick for jumping in there. Your reply does not surprise me. Nosler makes the best bullets on this planet. It might be true there rifles are too. That Rick guys gun is a sight to behold in my opinion. We,ll get the stock matter resolved soon. Hubcap
