45-70 300 PT or AB

I don't have a .45-70 or .450 Marlin yet, but when I do, I'm sure I'll be whining for these bullets.

And you are waiting on what???

Money... I need to quit spending it on frivolities, like eating.

The wish list:

6mm - 90gr NAB & 105 BT or NAB
.257 - 120-125gr NAB
.277 - 150gr NAB
.284 - 178gr NAB
.308 - 220gr NAB or BT
.323 - 220gr NAB or PT
.375 - 350gr NAB or PT
.458 - 300-350gr PT

Something for everybody

Scott

Good list fellas, lots of heavy bullet weight for calibers on the wish list.

Protected Point in all current Partition offerings! I have yet to purchase any Polymer tipped bullet without having several bullets in the box having tips broken off/missing. Polymer tips will NEVER cross my bench again. Bring back the Proctected Point!!!

And, based on my own experience, why not make the E-tip minus the tip. Give the Barnes TSX some REAL compition...

Still waiting...

Scott, I like your list. With those options, I would certainly look harder at the 8mm's and 257 cal's! The 350 PT would be a steam roller of a bullet! That would probably be THE bullet I used for everything in my rifle.

Oh, also a 250 grain or heavier AccuBond for the 358's please! That would make me HAVE to make a big 358!

.284 150 AB

That would be a SWEET heart in my sons 7x57. I am almost to the point of wanting to try the 150 PT in it. Might not have to if the 160 PT's work out though!

SJB358,
Have you tried the swift scirocco 2s. My STW seems to like them. I think that the 150 grain is a nice compromise. I wish that they sold them in a 50 pack though

RTH, I haven't. I actually would like to try them out. Joel and Mike like their Swifts a bunch so I would like to give them a shot and that Swift looks pretty good to me. I can imagine it is a screamer out of your STW as well. I wouldn't likely get more than 2800-2900 out of the 7x57, but man, I would think it would be a heater. I like the performance I see from the SII's

I want to see 3
6mm-105 AB for the 6-284
.25-120AB for the Bob
7mm-175AB for my 280AI

I would be pretty stoked to see a 175 BT or AB myself.

I would like to see a bonded, flat-base bullet in all calibers. Partition profile without the Partition and a protected point. I'm more constrained by magazine length than any other other parameter. Rarely shoot over 250 yds and prefer mid-heavy for caliber bullets.

how about a flatnose or round nose bullet for the lever gun owners out there?

say something in the 200gr area for the 35 rem
