Nosler changed the Accubond?

Joel, you are probably right that the Accubonds vary less in weight then the Partitions, especially in .338 diameter bullets.

I have some .257 Accubonds, about 4 boxes or so. I will do some work on them with weight and length to see what the variations are? Just curious to find out about how much these bullets vary?

I usually check new purchases of bullets with a bullet comparator. I've seen changes like those mentioned by all manufacturers. None of my load notes mention loads by oal...they all use the ogive to lands measurements. Very often accurate loads wind up being the same jump to the lands even when talking different brands of bullets. Not always but often an certainly great place to start load development.

As I thought, results were pretty inconclusive following the range test. One of the groups shot 0.8 inches and another shot 0.9 inches, but I'm going to repeat the load development with matching bullets. 0.8 inches is certainly acceptable for a 4-shot group with hunting bullets, and if I can get similar results next range trip I'll call load development complete.

I was doing some mini load development as I switched from a 1-lb container to an 8-lb container of powder. I did shoot the loads over a chrono, so at least I have a good judge on where the barrel node is relative to a powder charge--around 58.2 or 58.3 grains of Hunter.
