Nosler M48 Heritage 280AI

Thanks fellas. We will shoot 400 yds this weekend and then I will get her out to the farm to shoot 600 and 800 yds. That will be a real confidence builder for her.

The stars are aligned and the M48 280AI is right there. I put the CDS dial in and the 140 gr BT is zeroed in at 200 yds and dead on at 300 and 400 yds. Need to shoot 600 yds and I am calling it good. Sue has no problem hitting the steel gongs at 300 and 400 yds and it took a while for the grin to fade. (y)

Quite a fine commendation of this excellent rifle and cartridge. Sounds as if Sue is coming right along with her riflery.

Well Sue shot her M48 280AI at 600 yds and was able to connect on the 8" diameter gong!

She also shot my buddy's custom McMillan 30-378 Wby topped off with a NF 5.5-22x56mm scope and she connected on the 13" gong!

I created a monster!

JD, that is super that your wife will shoot the .30/.378? That .280 is a fine looking gun?

Thanks fellas. Yes, she did a great job. The 30-378 Wby is a beast of a round but with the Vias brake and the rifle weighing in at a solid 10 lbs, the recoil really isn't bad at all. She dry fired it a couple times and did everything right from proper forum, breath control, and steady trigger squeeze. All are very important.

Jim, you tell Sue that is some fine shooting. I think that the Elk are going to be in real trouble now that she has that 280AI in her comfort zone.
Thank you so much for sharing the photos.

Blessings,
Dan

Looks like this Saturday will be the maiden voyage for Sue and her M48.
Crop damage deer is the target. :)
I'll post pictures. Stay tuned.
