Nosler Sabots

I've read on several forums about using Nosler sabots with the Hornady SST bullets. I have a bear of time loading them in my Encore with the supplied sabot. Nosler sabots were recommended because they are suppose to have the thinner walls on the petals than most.

Well I'm trying to figure out whats up. Did Nosler change their sabots or what? I put in an order at Midway USA. When it came last week I unpacked it then looked at the sabots, I'll tell what I was not a happy camper. The 50 sabots that came in the plastic bag?? were identical to the sabots that are being packaged with the SST's. Not what I was expecting.

The part# marked on the card in the bag is 50096. 50 caliber sabots for .451"bullets.

Is there another Nosler sabot for a 50cal/45cal bullet comination?

 ere changed, but that was a few years back. We changed them to withstand higher velocities.

Looks like other people have found our Sabot supplier. :grin:
