Nosler vs. sierra

Even without knowing the cartridge you intend to use, I would pick the AccuBond hands down. I shot some Accubonds and Partitions into test media this summer, with a 30-06, and was very impressed with the 165 AccuBond.

I used a Sierra 180 Prohunter on an elk one time. Even though it was only an example of one, which generally proves very little, I didn't see anything that would make me want to try it again.

Just use Accubonds for everything, and you will be happy!

Your are comparing apples to oranges as far as the bullet weight goes.
Comaring just the 180's Game King or AccuBond its the AccuBond hands down, unless your shooting a 300sav. and in that "case" the 165 mite be the better choice. And in all the larger 308 cal cartridges the 180gr is a better choice for Elk.

What would you use for elk. The 165 nosler AccuBond or the 180 sierra gameking?

Not sure what caliber you are going to use but I would use the Nosler 165 gr AB over the Sierra. The 180 gr AB would be an even better choice unless I was using a 300 _ Mag, then I would use the 200 gr AB.

I use partitions while hunting 400 yards and under(30-06). They get the job done very well. Over 400 yards I use 300 grain sierra mathchkings(338 ultra). Under 400 yards partitions take the cake. Ive killed five critters with 165 grain partitions from 50 yards to 375 yards. I live in Bend so maybe I'm a little bias. I use partitions close and would use nosler bullets for long range if they made a heavy AccuBond for the 338.

Tough to beat a Nosler Partition in any caliber or weight!

I think a 250 gr AB in the 338 RUM, Edge, Wby, AX, Allan, etc would be "The Bullet" for long range hunting and shooting!
