NoslerCustom Brass: Worth the $$$

NoslerCustom Brass

I recently ordered some NoslerCustom Brass in 308 and have loaded/reloaded them a couple of times. Nice Stuff! I am a big fan of all of Nosler’s Products and use their bullets exclusively! With that said, I’ve got to ask; why is the brass so expensive? I have never come across brass that is any better than Lapua, and Nosler Brass is nearly twice as expensive (Nosler $36.95 per 50 vs. Lapua $41.00 PER 100). Some people say the Lapua brass is hard to come by and that is sometimes true but I’ve only have 1 backorder out of the last 5 orders I have placed. Just looking for your opinions.

They also have Nosler 30-06 brass for less than Lapua and 243 Nosler for the same as Lapua.

Like you I am a fan of Lapua brass. I just ordered a bunch of 30-06 Nosler brass from Midsouth. Going to give it a try-out as soon as I can.

The Nosler brass is very nice indeed. I have the 280 AI brass.
I am a firm beleiver in you get what you pay for. Keep in mind that supply and demand will dictate price. Another factor is manufacturing capability.

Boy, you're right about shopping around. Thanks for the info. I made the mistake of ordering the brass directly from the Nosler website. It would be nice if Nosler could match some of those website prices for there own brass!

No manufacturer want's to udercut the distributor or retailer they are selling through. They wouldn't have any outlets for their products if they did that.

BUT----do some shopping here and you'll see great deals on brass, bullets, etc. For some reason Nosler has 2 retail sites and this is the one to shop from. They have great prices on blems and I can never tell them from the firsts.
