Anybody had a chance to shoot the lead free ballistic tips yet? I thought about giving the 40 grainers a go in my 22-250 for vaporizing some varmints. I haven't seen them on the local shelves yet but I was thinking about ordering some to play with and thought you all might have some experience with them.

Are they much longer than the regular 40 grain BT? Any twist rate concerns with them? I know on the barnes varmint grenade the 50 grain one's have to have a pretty fast twist to stabilize....I think it was at least a 1:10 or 1:9 on those. My tube is a 1:14 twist.

Thanks,

Tim

My lil bro has been playing with the 40gr in his 22-250. Has been getting very good groups with H380. I think his remington is a 1:12 and it shoots them just fine. I really like the bullets. Going to try some in my 223 soon.
