My dog and I met a new friend while walking along the Columbia River this morning:



I don't think the raccoon really trusted my hunting dog... good judgement there!

Nice image. I think the he is cool. He does seem to be keeping a good eye on you dog. Maybe he'll hang around and give you time to get to know him better.

We've got rather a lot of raccoons in the area. I used to see them often in the city while patrolling at night.

Before heading out today I actually thought "well maybe I'll see a raccoon or something on today's walk, better take the telephoto."
