Oehler 35 available again.

I am pretty ignorant on the Oehler, so what does it do the others don't. Just wondering? I have a Shooters Chrony Beta Master, works decent, but an upgrade wouldn't hurt anything either!

Brian (Woodycreek) has a nice one as well that I was looking at. Scotty

A Lexus versus a Corolla. Fotis is correct in pointing out the proof channel to lend additional accuracy in recording velocities.

Mike, I think you meant Dodge vs Ford right?

So it buzzes, chimes or what have you if a shot is too far out of the norm? Seems like a great piece of gear. Is it pretty stable? Meaning is it sensitive to light, shadows and other aspects such as other chrono's are? Scotty

Yeah, something like that; only you inverted the comparable vehicles, listing the superior last.

A Porsche vs a Camaro?

Oh, oh! This could lead the thread in an entirely new direction!

Mike, are you saying our threads sometimes go off course? Never seen it? Scotty

Yeah! What are you insinuating Doc?

Fotis, where did you get that picture of Brian from! Holy smokes.. I didn't think he ever released those! Scotty

ZZZZZZing!!

It happens once in awhile. Leave me a hole and I will thread the needle. I am surprised Brian hasn't picked up on this yet. Maybe we need to rename the threat RUM Mullet! Scotty

My biggest concern is how it reads when the sun is low in the horizon.
When load testing I almost always shoot first light to try and beat the wind, Does that effect it much?
I have the sun to my back most of the time.
My beta chrony gives me different readings depending on the time of the day, up to 150 fps difference.
My old pact and the Competition Electronics ProChrono seemed to be pretty stable.

I'm probably going to order an Oehler 35 first of August.

My 35P was bought when they first came out so it may be different than the new ones, but it will not pick up the shot when the sun is at an angle late in the day. I try to get a sunny day with light overhead. Mine looks just like the new ones only without the printer!

I never had such issues when I had mine.

JD has my old one now.

Mine is waiting in MO. I've got to find a way to get it here. I guess that means a trip down south.
