Opinions on this rifle?

Fotis, I've worked up loads on several of these BLRs chambered in 325WSM, including at least one Take-down model. All shot MOA or better with selected loads and shot thus very quickly out of the box. It is a sweet rifle, and the cartridge does work well on moose and elk; I have taken several of each species with the cartridge.

My boy has a 325 WSM. It is the takedown that I know nothing about.

That's right, Stephen is using a 325WSM. The Take-down has a good reputation of holding its zero. I watched quite a few go out of the store over the past several years (admittedly, most were chambered in 358 Win); I have heard no negatives about problems on take-down or returning to zero. I would own one were I in the market for that particular cartridge.

I almost bought that rifle but opted for the 358Win instead. The factory mags run about $60 and with the $120 worth of ammo he's throwing in, it's not a bad deal at all.

I thought it to be a fair price, especially with the extras he is including.

No it is a good deal in reality.

Fotis,

I really like the BLR action. Not sure I fully understand the take down advantage.
It sure would make for a great black timber elk rifle.
