Anyone have experiences with the Springfield Armory Garrison 1911 in 9mm or .45?

Sold my Tisas 1911, it was biting the web of my hand. Am once again in the market for a good EDC 1911, will likely go with the 9mm (shooting 147 grain ammo) to get the 10+1 capacity.

Dale, I don’t know anything about the Garrison but in about 2008 I bought 100 Springfield's for my department, had a lot of folks interested in giving up their Glocks. I havent had my coffee yet but I believe they were the TRP. I retired in 2011 but at that time there had been zero issues with any of the guns. I have a TRP I bought in perhaps 1995, it has many thousands of rounds through it. Still running strong. I am still thinking about a 9mm 1911 my self.

Don't know anything about the Garrison. But I own a Custom Shops 1911 45 that has wore out 2 barrels shooting 10's of thousands of lead and jacketed bullets through it shooting bullseye matches and practicing.
It has just received its third barrel and was tuned up by the present National Bullseye Champion who was a Marine pistol Smith and Team Bullseye shooter (Jonathan Shue).
I don't think you can go wrong buy Springfield Armory 1911s.
I would have kept the Tisas and had the grip safety changed since they are a copy of the original Browning and all 1911 parts will work with a little fitting.

Don't own the Garrison but do own a Range Officer Elite Champion 9mm and a Ronin 45acp. Like them both well-made and good shooters. Have another Ronin on order 5in 9mm package deal includes dot sight 4 mags and range bag. I like Springfield Armory 1911s.
