ok, if you were using an average riflescope, maybe a 3x9... they are supposed to be parallax free out to 100 yards. now my question is what exactly happens at lets say 200 yards... is it possible to make clean shots out passed 100 yards without an AO?
Yes, I have made shots out past 300 yards without an AO. But you need to test your rifle at those ranges. I have one scope that has no parallex at 100 yards and about 2" at 300 yards. Still able to place shots in the kill zone of a deer at 300yards without a problem. Group size may suffer some but probably no more than an inch or so.Rick.
Should be fine, but you need to shoot at 300 yds to verify your impact and hold over.
With a DuPlex reticle and depending on your caliber and bullet weight/velocity, you can zero at 200 yds and be able to dial up your scope in the 7-9 power range and use the top portion of the bottom post as a 300 yd aim point .
