Do the Partitions like it closer to the lands or a jump like the Accubonds? Loading a 7-08 for my son's elk rifle this year and can't seem to get'em any tighter than about 1.5". I also have 140NABs and 150gr ABLRs. I don't have a lot of experience with loading PTs.
Thanks,
Scott

I've always had best success loading the PT close to the lands. On most of my cartridges, I go for 0.010 to 0.020 inches off the lands.

I agree, .007 - .020" is where I end up. Make sure you measure off the ogive since the tips being exposed lead varies a lot.

You should find a sweet spot .010"-.020" off the lands.

I usually end up 0.02 to 0.03 off. They shoot well enough there for me. Not ever as good as match bullets, but good enough to hunt with and never notice the difference in the field.

Same here. PT's and BT's have shot very much the same when loaded the same OAL.

I've had luck seating Partitions about one-tenth of a caliber of the lands to start out, and then fine tuning with .002-inch increments or decrements.
