I have a Winchester 94 (pre-angle eject) 30-30 that I would like to put a peep sight on. I have used many peep sights over the years on military rifles but not on a lever action. Doing a quick search it looks like I have a couple options but was wondering if anyone has used one and which they prefer.

Also if the one you used required drilling or tapping?

Thanks in advance!!

Had a Williams peep sight on one of my Model 94 .356 and I put one on my Model 94 .375. It allows rapid acquisition of the target and permits rather accurate shots, even for my ageing eyes.

I've been using the Williams sight off and on since the 1960's or 1970's on Winchester and Marlin lever actions.

They are simple, sturdy, lightweight and accurate.

What else do you need?

Same here, I use a Williams on my muzzle loader and I can shoot it much better than any kind of open buckhorn style sight. I think the peep sight is darn near as good as a scope for most shooting as long as you have a good front post. Plus, you can open the hole in the peep up enough to let plenty of light through and still get excellent accuracy. Scotty
