Picked Up A Very Nice Rifle Today

A big shout out goes to NYDAN for his help.
Another shout out to the knowledgeable folks on 24 Hour Campfire forum.
Without either of them, I wouldn't know the manufacture date.

Since I will have some extra time on my hands, thanks to COVID-19, that's exactly what I plan to do.

One of the things I really like about my rifle, identical to yours, it will shoot the 160 AccuBond and the 175 Partition into the same group at 100 yds. Sure makes it easy to keep it ready for any hunt I might take.

Mine is G349*** and I bought it new in 2002.

That's really good to know. I do like the 160 to 175 gr bullets, especially when they group alike, and hit at the same point.

Thank you for letting me know Bruce!
Glad to see your post!

That rifle, cartridge and scope should be a terrific all-around open-country hunting rifle!

Beautiful, and I'll bet it's a shooter.

Thank you Guy.

Yes, I'm hoping it will be a terrific all-around hunting rig.
Between this and my .280, I think both are going to see a lot of use.
