Pile of elk

Was on my way back to town from a call at work and found several herds of elk out feeding before dark. The big herd had to have been 300 head.... Sat and watched them until dark. There were about 5 bulls that still had their head gear. Too bad I only had my cell phone for a camera!

They look to be in pretty good shape, the snow level looks like it's climbing back up on the hillsides. Spring is here for sure.,

Ya' have to love all the green showing there, Earle! I'm seeing some green showing here. I have received reports of the first bears being seen. Bear opens on Friday. Going to be difficult to keep my mind on business that day. :roll:

Nice bunch of Elk.. You don't happen to work for the UPRR? I do and get called out at times too. Had a couple of cows standing on the road on the way home the other evening. Glad they just stood and watched me pass by.. :lol:
