Just a quick thank you for the H414 powder recomendation for my .260.
I made it back out today with some 130gr A-bonds that shot right @ an inch @ 100yds. I set OAL at specification and ran with it... also had Rem primers rather than the CCI BR's I generally use.
Next trip out will be an OAL adjustment and CCI primers.
5 shot average w/43.0grains of H414 got me to 2917fps. HOWEVER.. :grin:
The 100grain B-tips... :grin: ... :grin: .... :grin: I shot two four shot groups....we won't talk about the fourth shot in each group, but the first three of each were half inch & the last group averaged 3504 fps :grin:
w/a book max of 49.0 grains of H414.
