I'm trying to figure out how to post a picture. If this comes through it's my Model 70 300Wby with a new Boyds Laminate

Beautiful rifle, I really like that laminated stock.
How does she shoot?

I just installed a Limbsaver pad and fired a few rounds of 200 AB's. It doesn't kick, but the jury is out on accuracy. The first shot on a cold barrel is way low, maybe it needs a new barrel???

Here's the other side. The darn thing wouldn't group at all with the original Tupperware stock no matter how it was bedded, now it groups well after it warms up. What I'm thinking is the barrel is not stress relieved. What do you guys think--Pac-Nor??

I think it's hopeless and you should sell it to me real cheap to get rid of it
It's an awsome rifle and the accuracy problems will be solved with bedding. Either free float the barrel or glass bed the action. $35 or so. Either way you have one awsome rifle that looks as good as it will shoot. You have a winner. Enjoy  I don't think you need a new barrel unless you just want one. The only flaw in that rifle is that it doesn' t belong to me. Good Hunting
Elkhunt

I already floated the barrel, it's not bedded on the action. The bedding on the action is really close and action screws are torqued. The first shot is 6 inches low, then it starts to shoot. At first I thought it just needed fouling shots on a clean barrel, but then I took it out after it had been shot in another session and it did it again with another load! I'm beginning to think it's like a horse I once had;" beautiful, but bad to the bone"!

It sounds like a bedding issue.
Get it Pillar Bedded and your bedding issues should go away.
