Powder Question?

After looking at a couple of reloading books and i've seen XMR3100. I was wondering if this is another name for AA3100? Probably a bonehead question just more to do with curiousity? Thanks, John

Not a boneheaded question at all. It is, in fact, just as you suppose. Accurate Arms used to designate some of their powder line XMR. Interestingly enough, I saw a blip a while back that the AA designation is no longer valid, as Accurate Powders are now owned by Western Powders (also own Ramshot), and Accurate Arms is defunct. Just a little trivia.

I think I just saw an add with designation XMR on what I thought was a new jug of powder it was XMR 1680. The add may not have been for the powder but I noticed because I use or (used to) use AA 1680?

Considering the difference between H4831, and IMR4831, I'd consider it a very reasonable quesiton.
