RL22 is very good powder and I am sure the other Alliant offerings are too, but it's temperature sensitive. I got very good results with it in .280 Remington during load development but dropped it over the temperature sensitivity issue. A good friend also used it in a .30-cal belted magnum and got very good results during load development, but found that when the temperature dropped 50 dgrees F he lost about 175 fps. That does little to boost confidence. It's a real shame!

Personally, I would stick with Hodgdon and Ramshot. Ramshot Magnum and H1000 would be the first powders I would try, but that's just me.
