Looking for information I have notes in my 338 Jarrett log book indicating 89 grains of H1000 pushing a 250 gr. AccuBond “was a little hot” I don’t know where I came up with the idea to try that powder but I have a couple pounds of it. May have run a quick load a few years ago but I can‘t find the information.
The Jarrett has just a little more case capacity than the 340 bee. So I thought I would start there and make good use of the H1000 I have on hand.
H1000/250 grain AccuBond/ coal 3.70
Thanks in advance.

I surely do love a 340 Wby. I took one back in '98 to South Africa and then over to Namibia. I shot the then Barnes 210 XBT right at 3200. I used 82gr H4350. My only problem was having it built "too light". Its very efficient brake was super dooper loud and killed two scopes, the last one into my hunt. I then played with two 338 RUMs and felt like they were twins to the 340 Wby! Both of those were standard Sporter weight. Good luck to you pard!

I forgot how to do it at this point, but I used to have to alter the Ba rate on QL in order to get the Wby and RUM's to work out closer to what I saw for load data.

Seems like 2900+ shouldn't be too big a trick for a 340 with a 250 grain bullet, but I have 0 experience with it, but most data seems to play that out.

Along with adjust the COAL to compensate for Wby’s long freebore. And then there is also calculating the correct weighing factor for the cartridge.
