prices

What you are seeing most likely is MSRP priciing. CAbela's gets the volume price discount and they are able to pass along some savings.
Try some seconds from Shooters Pro Shop and you will see a huge savings.

What you are seeing is very common. It is very rare that a manufacturer would sell their product for less than a major retailer. Getting a company as large as Cabela's to sell your product can be very difficult. The last thing you want to do is sell it for less yourself and lose them as a major outlet for your product. They don't need you, you need them.

Steve4102 is correct. If we sell our products for less than our retailers, then they would have a hard time justifying why they bother stocking our product. We want to support our retailers by offering product service and if we happen to make a sale in process, all the better.

Nosler3, that is all fine and good and correct. I do have an issue with what the shipping charge is from the pro-shop. Say I want to get seconds on the 7mm 140gr BT for the listed price of 9.99$ I go to check out and notice the 11.95$ shipping via UPS ground. I see a link that said to change shipping options click here and it takes me back to where I can change it. I find out that I can not have any other option and am stuck with UPS ground at an absorbenant price for a small 4lb package. I just shipped a 9lb large box via USPS for 14 bucks. What gives? There is no incentive to buy seconds directly from you when I can get first's from Cabelas for about 4 bucks less.
I am a real Nosler fan and something just don't seem right with this. :?:

I've got to agree with you Wboo! I brought the same issues a few months ago!
I think that all current registered users of the Nosler Forum should get a significant discount! Think about it, in reality we are all “Field Testers” for Nosler products! All of that valuable feedback we provide to Nosler must be worth something??? Infact, I’m sure that if you were to total the amount of money spent by “us” if far exceeds that of any “Nosler Dealer” (in what they would purchase from Nosler). If that doesn’t work then I “volunteer” to be the exclusive Nosler Dealer to you guys at NO profit. What do you think Nosler?

$11.95 UPS ground "PER ORDER" !! Order 1 box or 10 boxes and S/H is $11.95. If you only need one box you can also order from Midway. Factory firsts for $13.50 plus $3.00 Special Handling Charge and $10.00 S/H. That's only $26.50?box.
Order in bulk and save on shipping. If you only need one box at a time, buy local and keep them in business.

Would be nice if that were clarified when ordering. I will buy locally and do.

Your complaining about shipping from the Pro Shop so make it worth your time....Buy 500+ at a whack. It's flat-rate and it cheaper to ship once than multiple times. My last order I bought 500 at one time....Wished I would have bought a 2K.

hey guys,,,i'll bring this up one more time ,,,i think nosler has been told by us the buyer to go USPS flat rate,,,which is cheaper than what they are charging and will deliver to P.O.B #s,,,that is the main reason i quit using nosler,,,,unless i get a good deal on fleabay,,,don't get me wrong,,,there are other bullets out there that can do the same job that nosler does,,,maybe better in your firearm,,,instead of buying nosler,,,buy sierra,,,you get 100,,,not 50,,,figure it out,,,cut the price in half,,,they will do the same killing for you,,,just my attitude towards nosler,,,j3081

Wow, that's a poor attitude.

I haven't yet bought from Shooter's, but only because they haven't had enough of what I need in stock at the same time to make it worth my while. When they have the 8mm, 6mm, and .277 stuff I want all in at the same time, there will be one sore-backed UPS man later that next week, I assure you. There is no substitute for buying in bulk! It cannot be done any cheaper, period.

Also, I have my issues with Sierra, as they were quite rude to me when I called tech support to ask about impact velocities. Acted as though I didn't have any need to know these things. I don't load them anymore, as they weren't any better than Hornady or Nosler, and now they're more expensive in many cases!
