Started getting brass ready for a new 300WSM that is coming next week. Got to the point of seating primers and found my Lee auto-prime tool will not allow the case into the channel to seat the primer. what is everyone else using and is there another arm that I need to buy to work on the Lee ? I have the right shell holder for it (#5).

I used to use my press for loading all my primers but I started having problems when I got my new press the priming system it had, so I bought RCBS hand primer and I have to say I like it very much.

Dug out the old priming setup and installed it back in the press. Man, what a hassle :x . I don't think it has been used in about 25 years. I don't see how there can be a consistant seating on the primers with that primitive way of doing it.

+1 to what Sniper said. That's what I did to my Lee primer tool.
It doesn't take a whole lot and does not impeed the use of any of
the smaller shell holders for the tool.

I use my Forster Press for all seating. It is kind of dummy proof for me. I have never gotten a hand primer, but the Forster press works pretty good for. Scotty

I have pretty well made a complete switch to the RCBS Universal Hand Priming Tool. No need for shell holders and it accommodates all cartridges.

+1. I'll probably end buying another so I have one for small and large rifle primers - won't have to fool with changing it.
