Would appreciate a Quick load report that shows powder choices for:
300 WSM
Berger VLD - Hunting (30510)
24” barrel
Lapua brass
Federal 215
COAL will be approximately 2.860”
(Jam is 2.906)
I have a good selection of powders.
My Sierra Game King HP (165) break in bullets with IMR4350 65.5 are generally 3057-3065 fps.

Intent is to hunt this rifle with Berger VLD hunting and Nosler Accubonds.(might go with 180’s bs 165’s for NAB). I think I have good data for NAB. Bergers don’t have as much data available.

PS Sean doing great in SC as a Rheumatologist. He’s at the VA in Charleston full time and he’s teaching Rheumatology and Internal Medicine at MUSC part time.
PSS, he’s also helping start up Bethel Baptist. A new independent Baptist Church in Summerville just north of Charleston.
PSSS, Chris, my youngest, will journey out and be a tradesman electrician this December.

Ah, rheumatology! I was slated to conduct my doctorate in rheumatology, but the doctor I would work under began a sabbatical in Switzerland. That necessitated a quick switch into internal medicine. Sean is in a dynamic field. Good on him for helping in the church start. That is demanding, but truly rewarding.

2010 I had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder. There was some serious recovery time for my ordeal. After full recovery I was and still shooting my big magnums. I did loose some range of motion.

Best wishes to you for a speedy and full recovery. The PT is rough but you’ll get through it. I tore the rotator cuff tendons in my left shoulder and have 3 anchor screws in place.
