QL request

The default QL for 257 R is 51488, the +P takes it to the mid 58s.
I agree it can probably be run higher but as this is a public forum accessible to all I'm not throwing loads over SAAMI max up there with QL.
That's my reasoning at least. :)
This also the reason that most of my QL request are done by E-mail and I can print them off for later reference easier.

Dwh7271,
I picked out the 45.57 grain load of RL15 to load 5 shells and launched a 75gr V-max at a ground hog today. The ground hog was at a guesstimated 300yds and he never moved after the crack of the gun. Didn't bother to walk out and pick it up since it was in the middle of a bean field but it was the only one out of 5 that I have shot that didn't run after being hit. My friend who's family owns the property I've been hunting on was watching threw binoculars and said a distinct red cloud appeared upon impact of the bullet. He has been with me on all three days that I have hunted and watched me shoot the ground hogs and said this was the only one this happened with when the bullets impacted.
I'm going to give them a rest and might put some on paper to see how their grouping.

Excellent!
Glad it worked for you.
I'm willing to bet that will shoot pretty nice on paper too.
I tried quite a few other powders in my 250 AI but RL15 just outdid them all on accuracy and velocity together.
It's like they made it for that rifle.
Basing the two cases on capacity, it would surprise me if it didn't work really well in the Roberts.

My .257 has a Browning FN Mauser action and a Douglas barrel. No reason that I can't run modern +P loads in it. Each .257 R is a world unto itself as to age and action strength.
