I have been away from loading for my carbine for a couple years as I worked up other projects, but I want to get back to it.
There's my question......
When sizing 30 Carbine, one of the steps is to "bell" the case. I need to size the brass beforeI trim it, but trimming it produces a "bell", which slightly alters the case length from how it will be once the bullet is seated and the bell is pushed closed against the bullet.
The Carbine headspaces on the case mouth, so length is critical.
In the past, I have done this by trial and error...trimming a belled case to the length where seating a bullet finishes up the process and gets the case to the proper length.
Does anyone have any more precise suggestions?
Thanks...
