I now have a load of 62grs IMR7828SSC with a 140gr Partition bullet. It was that max load that I found. I was hoping for a bit more speed.
Can someone check and see if I can increase the powder charge safely and how much? Thanks in advance.---Doug

Doug, we would need your H20 capacity of a fired case or three from your 264 along with the barrel length and OAL to give you real numbers. I'll gladly run it if you get that.

I'm still learning QuickLoad...but from what I'm seeing you are about maxed out where you're at.

What speed are you getting?

If I'm doing this anywhere near right...you should be at around 2,950 fps for a 24" barrel...or 3,025 for a 26" barrel.

That's kinda weak RR. I run 3180 pretty easily with RL25 and Retumbo. That's running around 63k with the AB and BT.

I saw some loads at 3125 fps or so...just didn't want to say the wrong thing and have him start throwing more powder in there...lol.

And the speeds I quoted were both with IMR 7828SSC...just below max using the default case capacity, etc.

Here is what I have using the stock H20 capacity

Cartridge : .264 Win. Mag.
Bullet : .264, 140, Nosler PART SP 16321
Useable Case Capaci: 75.760 grain H2O = 4.919 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.340 inch = 84.84 mm
Barrel Length : 26.0 inch = 660.4 mm
Powder : IMR 7828 SSC

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 2.0% of nominal charge.

It looks like your about at the top of 63K. So, seeing as your already attaining the top speeds, I'd be cautious about leaning too much harder on it.

First I must say I am sorry. I thought I posted this in the Reloading forum not the hunting one.

I guess I might leave well enough alone. I am getting 3181FPS and SD 17. I do wish I could get the SD lower but hard to argue with success.

The barrel is 26" SS

Thank you all for the help---Doug
