quickload for 358 Norma mag

Can I get a quickload for my 358 Norma Mag.
250 gr NPT and Hodgdon Hybrid 100v.
It's a little slower then the H4350 I use now and may not be a good powder for the 358NM.
I called Hodgdon and they said there is no data and can't help me.

To me it looks like the right powder for the 358 Norma mag. 2800 fps with a 250 gr PT is some serious horse power!

My go to load is 75 gr H4350 with a 250gr NPT for 2820FPS.
I'm hoping to get a little more velocity with the H100V, my barrel is 26" so we will see.
Either way I already have a great load but I love to tinker

Note that I calculated on the basis of a 24 inch barrel. You should gain a little velocity with a 26 inch tube.

2850+ with a 250gr PT! Man, that is some serious frontal HP! I like it alot. I thought the Whelen was doing well with the 250's at nearly 2600! Someday a 358 Norma will grace my safe. They are just some serious big animal cartridges. Plus, I have the 358 Win, the 35 Whelen, the next logical step has to be the 358, right? Scotty

That STA is a big one, as is the one based off of the Ultra Mag case. I kinda like the Norma a little though, seems like a classic cartridge, that just never made the grade. Too bad, as it would beat out the 338WM in about everything. Pretty close to the 375 in most cases. I guess it is kinda like your Brenneke. Scotty

I think you like those slightly ignored cartridges. I know I do. I do want properly headstamped brass, but I'm okay if I'm the only one in the woods toting that cartridge on any given day.

I've been shooting my STA for quite awhile and just love it. Favorite rifle. I took one of the cases I have for the 6.5/375 Ruger and seated a 358 bullet in it. Just a little impressive. I think it would out perform the STA but not by a heck of a lot. Norma to STA to Ruger. I'd bet about the same differences. I wouldn't mind having a 35 Whelen also but until I can't shoot the STA any more it's just way to hard to justify, even to a very open mind person like myself the "need". lol
